Uraga in guji zone, southern ethiopia, is a high-altitude, forested area known as the birthplace of coffee. It has volcanic soils, tropical climate, and young arabica varieties (74410 & 74412) grown on small family farms. Haro wachu station, operated by tracon, produces mostly washed coffees and experimental batches from over 500 local farmers.
